While Goddard's win against Northwest wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Lions had just enough and edged out the Grizzlies 3-1. The victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Grizzlies: they've now won nine in a row.

Bryer Rojas was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Kane Dunlavy, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Goddard's win bumped their record up to 3-10. As for Northwest, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-6.

Coming up, Goddard will head out on the road to square off against Salina Central at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last seven games the Mustangs have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Northwest, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Kapaun Mt. Carmel on Monday.
