After flying high against Hill County last Tuesday, Faustina Academy came back down to earth. The Faustina Academy Falcons took a 45-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Heritage Christian Academy Lions on Thursday. The Falcons' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Having lost for the first time this season, Faustina Academy fell to 3-1. As for Heritage Christian Academy, the victory snapped their losing streak at 13 games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-6 record.

Faustina Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Flint Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 9, 2025. Faustina Academy is facing Flint Academy at the right time seeing as Flint Academy is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Heritage Christian Academy, they will venture away from home to challenge Grace Christian Academy on Monday.
