The Wilton Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the St. Joseph Cadets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wilton has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Wilton scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Bridgeport Central 59-34. With Wilton ahead 31-10 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
In what's become a running theme this season, St. Joseph gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Westhill 56-16 on the road. Given St. Joseph's advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked eighth, while Westhill is ranked 149th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Wilton's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for St. Joseph, their win bumped their record up to 15-1.
Wilton came up short against St. Joseph in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 47-39. Can Wilton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
