After flying high against the South River Rams last Friday, The Johnson Crusaders came back down to earth. Johnson had to suffer through a rough 55-22 loss at the hands of Pleasantville. Johnson lost against Pleasantville in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 25-7 score last time.
Pleasantville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ahmad Jones led the charge by throwing for 106 yards and two touchdowns on only ten passes, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Dwayne Carter was in the mix as well, providing Pleasantville with three touchdowns.
Johnson's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Pleasantville, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.
Johnson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Pleasantville will face off against Willingboro at TBD on Friday. Willingboro is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
