Oak Grove extended the longest winning streak in Missouri River Valley - West this week by beating Pleasant Hill, 12-7. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
Oak Grove and the Roosters played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Oak Grove eventually emerging with a 12-7 victory. Aaron Graham ran for 126 yards in the win.
Pat Richard's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jon Latshaw threw for 53 yards and Tanner Kanak had 41 yards receiving. Derrick Dow helped Oak Grove's passing attack out by catching two balls for 12 yards.
Excelsior Springs's Alex Vanfossan and Nick Masoner have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Vanfossan has thrown for 820 yards this season, while Masoner has 16 catches for 376 yards. The Panthers' Graham leads the league in rushing yards with 1178.
The top two teams in Missouri River Valley - West will face off this week when first place Oak Grove takes on second place Harrisonville. Oak Grove defeated Pleasant Hill last week, while Harrisonville topped Grain Valley.
The Wildcats took down the Eagles 34-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
