Delaware Valley Friends suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 57-33 walloping at the hands of Mercy Career & Technical. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Delaware Valley Friends has scored all season.
Delaware Valley Friends' defeat came about despite a quality game from Alec George, who scored 12 points along with four steals and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Thomas, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
AIM Academy was handed a two-point defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Kimberton Waldorf on Thursday. AIM Academy breezed by Kimberton Waldorf on the road to the tune of 57-30.
Delaware Valley Friends' defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-3. As for AIM Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Delaware Valley Friends came out on top in a nail-biter against AIM Academy when the teams last played back in December of 2023, sneaking past 53-51. The rematch might be a little tougher for Delaware Valley Friends since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
