Audrey Lebovitz made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with four runs and two stolen bases.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Skye Rojek, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Mina Krakovsky, who went 1-for-2 with one home run.
Von Steuben was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .375 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last matchup, Rickover Naval made sure to put some runs up on the board against Intrinsic Charter on Wednesday. The Seadragons put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 25-13 win.
Rickover Naval's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Isabella Gallardo, who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with four stolen bases, five runs, and six RBI. What's more, Gallardo posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in April of 2025. Kayla Mateo was another, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with seven stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Von Steuben's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Rickover Naval, they now have a winning record of 5-4-2.
Thursday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Von Steuben has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .638. However, it's not like Rickover Naval struggles in that department as they've averaged .637. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Von Steuben got the 'W' when the teams last played on April 13th against Rickover Naval by a conclusive 18-0 score. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Seadragons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
