After flying high against Independence on Wednesday, Brentwood came back down to earth. The Bruins fell just short of the Summit Spartans by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Bruins' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Summit can attribute much of their success to Tessa Rowe, who had 13 digs and one assist.
Brentwood's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-3. As for Summit, their record now sits at 7-5.
Looking ahead, Brentwood will be taking part in a tournament against Cherokee at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Summit, they will be playing at home against Ravenwood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
