After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Spartanburg, the Broome Centurions were happy to have found some success on Monday. They walked away with a 75-66 victory over Chesnee. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Broome's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ja'Coreyun Broadus led the charge by scoring 15 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. Xavier Hill was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with 9 rebounds.
Broome now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Chesnee, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Broome won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Boiling Springs at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th. Boiling Springs is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Chesnee, they will head out on the road to face off against Chapman at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Chapman is ranked 86th, while Chesnee is ranked 108th).
