JW North proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 14) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Canyon Springs Cougars 4-2. The victory continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won four in a row.
Anela Kinnevey made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.
