The Hansen Huskies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their seventh straight defeat. They were dealt a 71-43 loss at the hands of Carey. Hansen was down 68-35 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Carey's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Owen Parke, who scored 17 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Preston Wood, who scored 11 points along with eight assists and six rebounds.
Hansen dropped their record down to 2-12 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Carey, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-9 record this season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Murtaugh the next time they take the court. Hansen will head out to face the Red Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Panthers will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
