Bluff City's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lakeva Applewhite led the charge by scoring 23 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Applewhite has scored at least 25% of Bluff City's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Asya Wood, who scored 16 points along with 7 assists and 5 rebounds.
Amare Boothe and Kamyiah Jones certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. Boothe dropped a double-double on 30 points and 12 rebounds, while Jones dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds. The contest was Boothe's fifth in a row with at least ten points.
Hamilton struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Bluff City racked up 11.
Bluff City's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Hamilton, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
