The Maricopa Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 50-19 loss at the hands of Coast Union. Maricopa lost against Coast Union in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 55-27 score last time.
Despite the loss, Maricopa had strong showings from Aidan Roa, who scored 6 points along with 3 blocks, and Diego Rivera, who scored 4 points along with 7 steals. Roa scored a full 31.6% of Maricopa's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Grysko, who scored 3 points along with 5 rebounds.
Maricopa's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Coast Union, their win bumped their record up to 1-3.
Maricopa will head out on the road to face off against Shandon at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Coast Union won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Santa Maria at 5:00 p.m. on December 6th. Santa Maria has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 313 points over their last four matchups.
