The Loch Raven Raiders will head out on the road to square off against the Lansdowne Vikings at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Loch Raven focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday.
Loch Raven posted their biggest victory yet this season on Friday. They blew past Woodlawn, posting a 62-29 win at home. Given Loch Raven's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 47th, while Woodlawn is ranked 155th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Loch Raven can attribute much of their success to Destaney Harris, who scored 18 points along with three steals, and Maya Gordon, who scored 16 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Harris has scored all season. Meona Boykin was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with 11 rebounds and five assists.
Meanwhile, Lansdowne's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their sixth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 52-35 to Woodlawn.
Loch Raven has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Lansdowne, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-8.
