This season hasn't been kind to the BASIS - Scottsdale Bulldogs, who are still winless after their sixth matchup. They lost to Heritage Academy at home by a decisive 65-49 margin on Monday. BASIS - Scottsdale lost against Heritage Academy in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 47-34 score last time.
BASIS - Scottsdale lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Nithish Prakash, who scored 19 points along with three steals. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Blake Tropper, who scored 12 points along with four steals.
BASIS - Scottsdale struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
BASIS - Scottsdale's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-6. As for Heritage Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. BASIS - Scottsdale will square off against BASIS - Mesa at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Heritage Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Premier at 5:00 p.m. on December 19th. Premier comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
