On Wednesday, Timothy Christian needed a bit of extra time to put away Chicago Hope Academy. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 11-9 win over Chicago Hope Academy. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with Chicago Hope Academy: they've now won four in a row.

Maci Woerner was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out 12 batters over 5.1 innings while giving up five earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). Those 12 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.
In other batting news, Lauren Kottke was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That home run was her first of the season. Grace Hoffman was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs and one double.
Timothy Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Marian Central Catholic got the win against Aurora Christian on Wednesday by a conclusive 15-1. Considering the Hurricanes have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Marian Central Catholic let Vivianna Lara and Bailey Keller run wild. Lara went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Keller went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylie Kowalsky, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Marian Central Catholic's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-9. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Timothy Christian, their win bumped their record up to 11-4.
