Grant Statz Goes Supernova in Haxtun Victory
Grant Statz was instrumental in extending Haxtun's winning streak to six on Friday. Akron had no answer to Statz as he rushed for 146 yards on only 15 carries.
Haxtun's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Statz and Haxtun will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Dayspring Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on October 25th.

Haxtun Wins Sixth-Straight Thanks to Zach Statz
Zach Statz was instrumental in extending Haxtun's winning streak to six on Friday. Statz rushed for 106 yards on only seven carries. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in November of 2023. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 101 rushing yards.
On the year, Statz has averaged 57 rushing yards per game.

While Akron might've come up empty on Friday, Anderson Filla wasn't going down without a fight. Despite the loss, Filla was still balling out as he rushed for 94 yards.
If the past is any indication, Filla could be in store for another big game when he takes on Dayspring Christian Academy on Saturday. Filla rushed for 196 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry the last time he and the Eagles duked it out two weeks ago.

Ryland Wolff and Co. Win Sixth in a Row
Haxtun picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Ryland Wolff. Wolff made four total tackles and defended two passes. The effort also marked the most rushing yards (152) he has had since back in November of 2023. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making four total tackles and defending two passes.
Wolff must have Akron's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Wolff forced a fumble and made ten total tackles (1.0 for loss) the last time he and the Rams duked it out back in September of 2023.
