On Wednesday Jacob Aragon pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. The performance also marked the fewest walks (one) Aragon has had since back in March. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his fifth in a row with less than two walks. For the year, he has an ERA of 5.31 over 27.7 innings pitched.

Aragon's effort led Highland over Eastside and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs are a perfect 9-0 against the Lions going back to April of 2021, a lead they'll look to extend.
