The Miami Stingarees's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They fell 62-54 to Norland. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Miami in their matchups with Norland: they've now lost six in a row.
Among those leading the charge was Marcus Allen, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 10 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Norland's points. Another player making a difference was Caleb Clarke, who scored 14 points.
Miami's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Norland, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Miami will take on South Dade at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Norland won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Pine Forest at 7:30 p.m. on December 1st. Pine Forest will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 504th, while Norland is ranked 198th).
