Volleyball Recap: Orange's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday + How To Watch

Orange had lost three straight headed into Tuesday's game, but Addison Guentensberger didn't let it get to four. The Panthers came out on top against the Carrboro Jaguars by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday with plenty of help from Guentensberger, who had 15 digs and three aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

While Orange might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Carrboro scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 27-29, 25-23, 25-19.

Carrboro's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caroline Butler, who had eight digs and five aces. Another player making a difference was Ella Solander, who had ten digs and two assists.

Orange's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Carrboro, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Orange will square off against rival South Granville at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Carrboro is set to challenge their familiar foe Durham School of the Arts at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
