Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Boca Ciega, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. Everything went their way against Lakewood on Monday as they made off with a 15-0 victory. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.
Like Hollins, Boca Ciega also got a great game from a two-way player: Jayla Hoptry. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Hoptry has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

The victory got Hollins back to even at 8-8. As for Boca Ciega, their win bumped their record up to 13-6.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Hollins has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.7 hits per game. However, it's not like Boca Ciega struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 3.7 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Hollins took their victory against Boca Ciega in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 16-6 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Royals since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
