In what's become a running theme this season, the Richland Raiders gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Hampshire 57-16 on the road. The win was familiar territory for Richland who now have eight in a row.
Shelby Higgins continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 22 points along with four steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Richland's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bailey Blair, who scored eight points along with four steals.
Richland used a slightly different lineup for their bout with Hampshire. And. Leah Boatright made the most of the opportunity, scoring seven points along with five rebounds and three steals. A few more games like that and she might be seeing even more time going forward.
Richland is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season. As for Hampshire, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-12.
Richland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hampshire also has no future games currently scheduled.
