The Basis Yeti's's three-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They came out on top against Bagdad by a score of 34-22. The win was just what Basis needed coming off of a 60-32 defeat in their prior matchup.
It was another big night for Emily Mullaney, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. That makes it nine consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Basis' points. Another player making a difference was Avery Paris, who scored no points along with nine rebounds and five steals.
Basis' win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-10. As for Bagdad, they bumped their record down to 3-7 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Basis will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Red Mesa at 5:30 p.m. on January 19th. As for Bagdad, they will head out on the road to face off against Anthem Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
