Okolona is 0-5 against Calhoun City since October of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Chieftains will host the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Okolona has given up an average of 32.4 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Okolona is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Northpoint Christian on Thursday. The Chieftains came up short against the Trojans, falling 42-20. While the Chieftains didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Trojans 7-0 in the first quarter.
Okolona might have lost, but man, Kingston Blanchard was a machine: he rushed for 162 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries.
Okolona didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of J.B. Gladney and Jaiden Grady.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Calhoun City faced off against Hamilton last Friday. The Wildcats took their game with ease, bagging a 50-15 win over the Lions. Considering the Wildcats have won four matchups by more than 34 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Okolona better keep an eye on Harland Pittman. He was instrumental in Calhoun City's win, rushing for 166 yards and three scores on only five carries, while also throwing for 160 yards and a pair of TDs on only nine passes. Pittman really tore up the turf during one magnificent 74-yard run.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Calhoun City's defense and their five sacks. Hamilton's QB won't forget Kemauri Salley anytime soon given he sacked him twice.
Calhoun City's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 46.7 points this season. As for Okolona, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
Okolona was taken down by Calhoun City 40-0 in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Wildcats' Jamarion Deloach, who rushed for 33 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 73 yards and one TD while completing 80% of his passes. Now that the Chieftains know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
