The Lowell Catholic Crusaders's four-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They breezed by Collegiate Charter School of Lowell on the road to the tune of 48-20. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Lowell Catholic also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lowell Catholic to victory, but perhaps none more so than Leticia Castro, who scored 11 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Castro has scored all season. Janae Holmes was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Lowell Catholic's victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-5. As for Collegiate Charter School of Lowell, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lowell Catholic will take on Shawsheen Valley Tech at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Shawsheen Valley Tech and Lowell Catholic are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Collegiate Charter School of Lowell, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Community Charter School of Cambridge at 6:30 p.m. on January 16th.
