North Central played in-conference for the first time on Friday and got just the result they were looking for. They enjoyed a cozy 39-21 win over Eastern Greene.
Greydyn Walters went supernova, rushing for 202 yards and five TDs while picking up 10.1 yards per carry. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 89-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of Lane Phegley, who rushed for 141 yards on only 13 carries.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 53 points the game before, Covington was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They took a blow against Riverton Parke, falling 52-6. The contest marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.
The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Stadler and Sean Vester. Vester had a great game and rushed for 125 yards and three scores on only eight carries. Meanwhile, Stadler did his best for the losing side, rushing for 81 yards and one touchdown.
North Central's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Covington, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. North Central has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 217.7 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Covington struggles in that department as they've been averaging 208.3 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
