On the hitting side, South Summit let Ian Mair and Hunter Bednerik run wild. Mair went 3-for-5 with six RBI, four runs, and one triple, while Bednerik went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four runs gave Mair a new career-high. Ammen Marchant was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
South Summit always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .524. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Summit Academy only posted an OBP of .323.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 12 runs the game before, Judge Memorial Catholic was a bit more limited in their match on Monday. They came up short against Providence Hall, falling 18-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered since April 2nd.
Judge Memorial Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 10-13. As for South Summit, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 6-14.
