Several Trail Blazers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaylan Austin, who went 5 for 7 on his way to 13 points and seven boards. Austin is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Craig Ellington, who posted eight points and five rebounds.
Even though they lost, University Charter smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.
Titus Lanier was his usual excellent self, going 8 of 19 en route to 21 points and six assists for Keith. Those six assists gave Lanier a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Eric Hall, who put up eight points and eight boards.
University Charter's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Keith, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-12.
University Charter will face off against Linden at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Keith, they will square off against Johnson at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
