Nasire Jones was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. That makes it seven consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of West Laurens' points. Another player making a difference was Jumarie Hill, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds.
West Laurens' win bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Telfair County, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
West Laurens will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Perry at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Telfair County will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Jeff Davis at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th. Allowing an average of 51.7 points per game, Jeff Davis has struggled on the defensive end, but that doesn't have to be the case in this contest.
