Clinton has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Emerald Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Clinton will be strutting in after a win while Emerald will be coming in after a defeat.
Clinton stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They blew past Woodruff 52-8 at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Clinton has posted yet this season.
Bryanna Belton continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 11 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played. Another player making a difference was Zakalia Redd, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Emerald's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Wednesday after their third straight loss. They fell 49-38 to Woodruff.
Clinton is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Emerald, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.
Clinton came up short against Emerald when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 35-31. Can Clinton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
