Jackson Christian had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Lake County on Monday. The Eagles blew past the Falcons 12-2. Considering the Eagles have won nine matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Jackson Christian is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Lake County, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-19-1.
