Poly took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Liberty, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Marley Audoma spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on ten hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 17 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Poly got a massive performance out of Violet Espin, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI Espin has posted since back in March.
