On Friday, the Noblesville Millers faced the Hamilton Southeastern Royals in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Noblesville walked away with a 57-50 victory over the Royals. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Noblesville.
It was another big night for Aaron Fine, who scored 25 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Hunter Walston, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Donovan Hamilton and Braeden Totton certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Hamilton scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and two steals, while Totton scored 18 points. Hamilton has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Griffith, who scored eight points along with two blocks.
Noblesville's victory bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Hamilton Southeastern, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Noblesville won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Golden Eagles at 2:30 p.m. on January 27th. Guerin Catholic has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Hamilton Southeastern, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Arabians at 7:30 p.m. on January 27th. Pendleton Heights will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 88th, while the Royals are ranked 12th).
