The Woodlan Warriors will face off against the Central Noble Cougars at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Woodlan will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
On Thursday, Woodlan got the win against Southern Wells by a conclusive 16-3.
Will Delagrange looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits.

On the hitting side, Jordan Halsey was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Woodlan is undefeated when Halsey posts two or more runs, but 4-13 otherwise. Caleb Linker was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Woodlan was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .351 or higher in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, while it was Central Noble who put the first runs on the board on Friday, it was West Noble who put up more. The Cougars lost 11-3 to the Chargers. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Brody Morgan was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Treyton Fletcher made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Woodlan's win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-13. As for Central Noble, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.
Woodlan skirted past Central Noble 7-6 when the teams last played back in May of 2022. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
