The Pittsburg Pirates waltzed into their match on Friday with 12 straight wins but they left with 13. Their defense stepped up to hand Antioch a 2-0 shutout. Two seems to be a good number for Pittsburg as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.
Pittsburg pushed their record up to 18-1-2 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 25 goals over those seven games. As for Antioch, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10-2.
Pittsburg will stay at home for another game and welcome Granada at 7:00 p.m. on February 14th. Granada's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Antioch, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-0 win vs. Deer Valley on the 10th.
