Having just played yesterday, the Gaston Day Spartans will jump right back in to play the East Rutherford Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Gaston Day is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
Gaston Day pushed their score all the way to 79 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 86-79 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kings Mountain.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Deshawn Coulter, who scored 26 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kurt Hunter, who scored 19 points.
Meanwhile, East Rutherford unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a serious blow against Providence Day, falling 73-30. East Rutherford was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-12.
Gaston Day's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for East Rutherford, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
