Fairfield is 8-2 against Westview since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Falcons will be playing at home against the Warriors at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Fairfield proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by ten) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past Garrett 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Falcons have posted since April 1st.

Madison Jones made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 19 batters over seven innings while giving up six earned runs off nine hits. Those 19 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aliviah Spencer, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Preslee Caouette was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Fairfield hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Garrett struck out 19 times.
While Westview didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past Lakeland 12-3 on Tuesday. Considering the Warriors have won three games by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Janissa Lehman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on nine hits.
On the hitting side, Kyiah Michels was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ella Williams, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Westview pushed their record up to 6-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Fairfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
Wednesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Fairfield hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .326. However, it's not like Westview struggles in that department as they've averaged .384. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Fairfield's way against Westview in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Fairfield made off with a 14-5 victory. Do the Falcons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
