Auburn is a perfect 10-0 against Bland County since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. Auburn will head out to face off against Bland County at 5:00 p.m. Auburn is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.2 runs per game this season.

Auburn easily dispatched Eastern Montgomery on Wednesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Auburn fell just short of Blacksburg by a score of 6-4 on Thursday. The Eagles have struggled against the Bruins recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Auburn got a good showing from Skyler Hodges, who tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Hodges has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Hope Wilson was cooking despite her team's loss, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high.

Even though they lost, Auburn lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Bland County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Grayson County, falling 13-0.

Bland County also got a good showing from Katie Smith, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

Bland County's record is now 0-2. As for Auburn, the loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 4-2.

Everything went Auburn's way against Bland County in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Auburn made off with a 13-0 victory. Does Auburn have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bland County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
