After flying high against the Liberty Chargers last Friday, the Evans Trojans came back down to earth. Evans fell 41-33 to Windermere on Wednesday. Evans found out winning isn't easy when you're outrebounded 12 to 5 on offense.
Evans' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Carmen Roundtree, who scored nine points, and Sylvia Rushing who scored ten points.
Windermere got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Bailey Travis out in front who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 15 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Aaliyah Moore, who scored four points along with six steals.
Evans has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for Windermere, their victory bumped their record up to 4-10.
Evans won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Umatilla at 7:00 p.m. on January 11th. Umatilla is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 52.2 points per game. As for Windermere, they will be playing at home against Lake Brantley at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
