After two games on the road, Edon is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Hilltop Cadets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Edon and Hilltop are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
Last Thursday, Edon lost to Fremont on the road by a decisive 48-34 margin. While losing is never fun, Edon can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 610th in Ohio, while Fremont is ranked 185th in Indiana).
Meanwhile, Hilltop waltzed into Monday's game with two straight wins but they left with three. They strolled past Hicksville with points to spare, taking the game 54-37.
Edon bumped their record down to 1-4 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Hilltop, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.
Edon took a serious blow against Hilltop in their previous meeting back in January, falling 63-24. Can Edon avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
