The Ridgeline Riverhawks are taking a road trip to square off against the Brighton Bengals at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Ridgeline will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
Ridgeline barely beat Green Canyon the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Riverhawks' pitchers stepped up to hand the Wolves a 14-0 shutout on Wednesday. That 14-run margin sets a new team best for the Riverhawks this season.
Jackson Christensen looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Luke Banning was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Daxton Coleman also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Brighton, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They came out on top against Skyline by a score of 7-3 last Friday.
Wilder Strong tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Hayes Raulston, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathon Ellis, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Ridgeline's record is now 14-5. As for Brighton, their record now sits at 5-9.
Saturday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Ridgeline hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .326. However, it's not like Brighton struggles in that department as they've averaged .312. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
