A District 7 recap October 1, 2013
Yale's JR Wakley rumbled for the longest rushing play in A District 7 this season in his game against Drumright last week. Wakley scampered for 62 yards on the play and finished with 69 on the day as his team bested the Tornadoes.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Kiefer beat Porter 50-0. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Kiefer's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Justin Rovang threw for 117 and 2 touchdowns and Gavin Hudson had 32 yards receiving. On the ground Trey Sneed chipped in 181 yards.
Sneed provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Josh Calvert's team defeated the Pirates. Sneed's favorite target this week was Hudson, who caught 2 passes for 32 yards.
Hudson was the best receiver in the league this week as the Trojans beat Porter.
Kiefer's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Trojans feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Rovang has thrown for 529 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, while Trysten Edwards has 11 catches for 216 yards.
An important game coming up in A District 7 this week will be when Kiefer takes on Depew. At the moment, the Trojans are in first, while the Hornets are in fourth.
Kiefer took down Ron Coppedege's team 50-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Sneed ran for 181 yards in the win.
