The Trinity-Pawling School Pride will square off against the Kingswood Oxford Wyverns at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Trinity-Pawling School came out on top against Taft School on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run first inning. The Pride took their game against the Big Red 9-4.

Ty Petras spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on nine hits. He is becoming a predictor of Trinity-Pawling School's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 3-1 (and 2-5 when he doesn't).
At the plate, Trinity-Pawling School let Patrick Leonard and Mikey Prince run wild. Leonard went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double, while Prince went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Those two runs gave Prince a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jayvian Vazquez, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Trinity-Pawling School kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Kingswood Oxford beat Westminster School 4-1 on Monday.
Kingswood Oxford also got a great performance from Harry Engle as he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Engle has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Dom Trolio and Connor Ellsworth did most of the damage at the plate: Trolio got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base, while Ellsworth got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Will Parkhouse was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
Kingswood Oxford's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Trinity-Pawling School, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.
