Brush added to the longest winning streak in 2A Patriot this week by beating Florence, 33-14. The victory was the 10th in a row for the Beetdiggers.
Platte Valley took down Bennett 48-11 last week, the largest margin of any game.
5-foot-11 quarterback Jeff Merritt of Fort Lupton is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,818. He has also thrown 19 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Ethan Rose. The Sterling star has 40 catches for 766 yards.
The Broncos' Logan Sitzman is a mere 43 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. Sitzman has rushed for 957 yards on 105 carries so far this year.
Platte Valley made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 2,154 from 2,798. The advance stemmed from a 48-11 victory over the Tigers last week.
