There's no place like home for California City, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Kern Valley Broncs on Friday as the California City Ravens made off with an 88-64 win. The Ravens have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 24 points or more this season.

California City's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Avery 'Skywalker' Spears led the charge by going 8 of 14 on his way to 20 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Spears is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last three games he's played. Cassius 'Hollywood' Brown was another key player, going 8 for 14 en route to 20 points.

Despite the loss, Kern Valley still got an impressive performance from Shiloh Galvan, who posted 24 points. Those 24 points gave Galvan a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Zane Carver, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 15 boards.

California City has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.0 points per game. As for Kern Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
