Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Downey). Everything went their way against the Lynwood Knights on Thursday as the Downey Vikings made off with a 3-0 win. The Vikings have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Knights, too.

Downey's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-8-1. As for Lynwood, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8-2 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Bellflower the next time they take the pitch. Lynwood will head out to face Bellflower at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday, while Downey will host them at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.
