Shenandoah Valley came out on top against Minersville on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run sixth inning. The Blue Devils blew past the Battlin' Miners 8-2. The Blue Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by six runs or more this season.
Brayden Maksimik spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremy Thomas, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
Nativity BVM's victory bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Shenandoah Valley, their win bumped their record up to 13-5.
