Marquand-Zion suffered their biggest defeat since November 17, 2023 last Thursday. They were beaten by Valley 77-50.
Even though Eagle Ridge Christian has not done well against Thomas Jefferson School recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Eagle Ridge Christian took their game at home with ease, bagging a 61-28 win over Thomas Jefferson School. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Eagle Ridge Christian has posted since December 5, 2023.
Eagle Ridge Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Noah Simpson led the charge by scoring 16 points. Simpson is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase WIlliams, who scored 13 points.
Marquand-Zion has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for Eagle Ridge Christian, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.
