The Northeastern Clinton Cougars lost against the Moriah Vikings back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Northeastern Clinton fell 51-41 to Moriah. While losing is never fun, Northeastern Clinton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 424th, while Moriah is ranked 90th).
Northeastern Clinton lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cyle Marshall, who scored 11 points. Jordan Brown was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Northeastern Clinton's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-7. As for Moriah, their victory was their 13th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-0.
Northeastern Clinton the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Seton Catholic Central at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. As for Moriah, they will head out on the road to take on Lake George at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Lake George focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Monday.
