The Lake Country Lutheran Lightning won the last time they faced the Heritage Christian Patriots, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Lake Country Lutheran took down the Patriots 50-35. Given Lake Country Lutheran's advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 121st, while the Patriots are ranked 331st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Heritage Christian still got an impressive performance from Amanda Pike, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds. Morgan Bluhm was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six steals and five rebounds.
Lake Country Lutheran is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Heritage Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.
Lake Country Lutheran will head out on the road to square off against the Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Heritage Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Mariners at 7:15 p.m.
